Macromedia Studio 8

Macromedia announced the release of the latest version of their web developement software: Studio 8.
Dreamweaver 8 has several additions :
Visual Authoring of XML Data
XML data such as RSS feeds can be darag and dropped into web pages
XSLT can be used to transform the XML to your web site style using code hints.
CSS Layout visulization
Dreamweaver now includes guides and borders that are not part of your web page to help see where your CSS elements begin and end
improved WebDAV
Dreamweaver now supports Digest autrhentication & SSL for secure server.
Zoom
you can zoom in and out like most graphic programs
Coding Toolbar
common coding operations right at you finger tips

Flash 8 also has some new feature which include :
Alpha Channels
film things on a green screen and then use flash to put in different backgrounds
Create transparency with no drawing or cutting out.
Embedded cue points
Treat flash movies like DVD movies with scenes & cue point .
Optional Drawing Mode
draw in flash similar to ilustration software packages
New blend modes and filtetrs
more flexability inflash applications and animation

New additions are Contribute & flashpaper which replace Freehand.
Seems to have enough new content , my favorite is CSS layout.
